This is surely the world’s most famous Alpine ski-tour : the well-known “Haute Route”. Linking the two alpine resorts of Chamonix, France and Zermatt, Switzerland, the tour traverses some of the most beautiful terrain in the Alps. It is also an historic ski-tour: the first “Chamonix-Zermatt” was achieved in 1903 by a group of Chamonix guides.
Many elements contribute to the fame and popularity of “Chamonix-Zermatt”, including:
- Breathtaking scenery
- Moderate uphill climbs
- Lovely downhill runs
- Comfortable refuge accommodations in spite of high-altitude locations.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SKI TOUR:
SAFETY STANDARDS:
minimum 4 and maximum 6 participants per guide. The safety standards applied are specific
to the Compagnie des Guides De Chamonix.
