This truly alpine ski tour, takes place under the 4000m-high peaks dominating Saas Fee and the Mont Rose range. It represents the apotheosis one may be searching for
in ski-touring. Experience in mountaineering and an excellent physical condition are required to fully appreciate this tour.
MEETING PLACE : in Saas Fee at 8.30 AM in front of the Tourist Office. The tour ends in Saas Fee.
Difficulty level : high altitude tour for very capable off-piste skiers with extensive ski-touring experience.
Subscribing to a repatriation insurance is obligatory (i.e Carte Neige). A cancelling insurance is strongly recommended.

Groups : from 3 to 4 people per guide. These standards are specific to the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix and are amongst the most strict of the market. The guide remains the only judge lasting the stay to modify the program according to the weather conditions and of the mountain, of the form of the participants, the technical assets.
Lodging : dormitories in manned refuges.
Equipment : crampons - ice-axe – harness – ski touring set up

ITINERARY :
DAY 1 : Take the Mittelallalin train to 3456m.
Climb the Allalinhorn (4027m) and descent to Britannia hut (3030m) via the Egginerjoch (2989 m.). Crampons and ice-axe can be useful.Vertical Rise : 571m Vertical Drop : 947m
DAY 2 : Climb the Adlerpass (3789m) and the Stralhorn (4190m). Return to the Britannia hut (3080m). An exceptionally beautiful though long, day.VR and VD : 1126m
DAY 3 : Climb the Rimpfischorn shoulder (4009m) via the Allalinpass(3564m). Descent to Taesch hut (2701m). Night stop.VR : 980m VD : 1308m

DAY 4 : Climb the Alphubel (4206m) over the Alphubel col (3762m). Descend to Saas Fee (1803m) on one of Europe’s most spectacular glaciers,
the Fee.VR : 1505m VD : 2403m !
Price winter 2010 : 710 euros/pers.
