Ideal for a first experience, easy stages, comfortable refuges in the heart of the Vanoise parc, at the foot of the Grande Casse. Level : for new comers to ski touring with a good level of off-piste skiing and in good physical condition Price winter 2010 : 465 euros/pers including : - professional guiding services (max. 6 px/guide) - half board in refuges (dinner, sleeping and breakfast), lunches and snacks - Lifts - transportation by bus -Avalanche transceiver rental (Note : drinks are not included) Group size : 4 to 6 people per guide. These standards are specific to the Cie and are amongst the strictest in the market. |

ITINERARY : Day 1 : Solaise and Cugnai lifts. Wonderful descent in the Cugnai valley. Short climb to the Fond des Fours refuge (2531 m.). PM,, siesta or climb to the col des Fours (2976 m.). Return to refuge. Altitude gain : 476m, loss 845 m Day 2 : Cross to the La Femma refuge (hot showers – 2352 m.) via the col du Pisset, and conditions permitting climb the Point Mean Martin (3330 m.). Altitute gain : 449 m and loss 628m. or 799 m gain and 978 m loss Day 3 : Col des Barmes de l’Ours (3077 m) or Pointe de la Sana (3436 m.). Very beautiful views over the Grande Casse (3855 m.) and the Grande Motte. Longe descent to Val d’Isere. Altitude gain : 725 m / loss1233 m or 1084 m gain and 1592 loss Meeting point : leave very early in the morning from Chamonix or at 9.30 am at the tourist office in Val d’Isere. |
Subscribing to a repatriation insurance is obligatory. A cancelling insurance is strongly recommended. The guide remains the only judge lasting the stay to modify the program according to the weather conditions and of the mountain, of the form of the participants, the technical assets.
