The Trient plateau is located on the East side of the Mont-Blanc massif. For this reason we go to the Finhaut helicopter base in Valais (30 minutes drive) to catch the helicopter, which will drop us off at the Col des Plines (3280m).

Descent on the Trient glacier down to the Col des Ecandies. Then we continue to Val d’Arpette down to the small village of Champex(1592m)

CHANGE IN ALTITUDE : 1688m. (first drop)

CHANGE IN ALTITUDE : 2093m. ((second drop, only on private formula)

Lunch in Champex. Transfer back to Chamonix (1 hour).

LEVEL REQUIRED : Good control of skis.

Date 2009 : Every day from middle of December to middle of May.

PRICES 2009 : only available on private booking (1 up to 4 persons):

1 drop : 1630 €
2 drops : 2460 €

Leaving from Chamonix around 8.00 am
Coming back to Chamonix around 3.00 or 4.00 p.m.

A second drop is possible in this area. It can be the same but with a different descent, or a descent on the Orny glacier. Finish at the village Praz de Fort. (1187m)

Supervision and security : a high mountain guide is responsible for each outing and will therefore make any decisions and arrangements necessary to ensure that everything goes along smoothly ( the programm can be changed depending on snow conditions and group level).

We take care of the organization of your day ( the price includes) : Return transport to the site by van, the guide’s fees, provision of your safety equipment (transceiver,ABS backpack, harness, shovel and probe), the lunches and the purchase of lift tickets if necessary.br>
The price doesn’t includes : Personal equipment and beverage. Should we have to cancel one of the drops, this expense will be refunded.

What you need to bring : Skis or snowboard. Poles. Warm and wind/waterproof mountain clothes, sun block for face and lips. Water bottle and snack food. Eg energy bars, nuts and raisins.
