Take off from the helicopter base in Arolla. (3720m)
Ascent of the Pigne with an easy walk (15min). Magnificient panorama on the high-Valais. Descent to the Cabane des Vignettes (3158 min).
We can stop there to enjoy a glass of “Fendant”, the local wine!
Descent on the Glacier de Pièce down to Arolla (1986m).

Lunch in Arolla. Transfer back to Chamonix (one and a half hour).

CHANGE IN ALTITUDE : 1810m.

LEVEL REQUIRED : good control of skis.

Dates 2009 : Every day from middle of December to midlle of May.

Prices 2009 :

Only possible in private booking (1 up to 4 persons): 1320 € (1 drop)

Leaving from Chamonix around 7.00 am / Coming back to Chamonix around 4.00 p.m.

Transfer from Chamonix to Arolla village in private mini bus. (1h 30)

Supervision and security : A high mountain guide is responsible for each outing and will therefore make any decisions and arrangements necessary to ensure that everything goes along smoothly ( the programm can be changed depending on snow conditions and group level).

We take care of the organization of your day ( the price includes) : Return transport to the site by van, the guide’s fees, provision of your safety equipment (transceiver,ABS backpack, harness, shovel and probe), the lunches and the purchase of lift tickets if necessary.

The price doesn’t includes : Personal equipment and beverage. Should we have to cancel one of the drops, this expense will be refunded.

What you need to bring : skis or snowboard. Poles. Warm and wind/waterproof mountain clothes, sun block for face and lips. Water bottle and snack food. Eg energy bars, nuts and raisins.
