Snow shoeing is the activity that allows you to carry on walking throughout the winter. Lightweight and easily portable, their efficiency in all types of snow will surprise you. Easy to learn, the variety of walks available make snow shoeing a pastime for everyone.
Explore the winter landscape in small groups and without stress. Our program allows you to discover both the silent forests as well as the high mountain with walks adapted to the fitness level of the participants.
Level : easy walks but a minimum of physical training is necessary to enjoy the snowshoeing hikes, and to avoid a bad surprise on the first day. Light day pack.

Including :
- Half board accomodation in a 2** hotel. (rate on Twin room basis)
Groups : 5 to 8 people per mountain guide.
Dates : from Monday to Friday, outside of school vacation and depending on hotel availability
Personal Equipment :
Mountain hiking boots,(warm, comfortable and waterproof), warm, comfortable and waterproof clothes (ex :polar fleece jumper and warm underwear, Gore-tex jacket wind-breaker...),gloves,hat, sunglasses,a small backpack to carry your picnic lunch, your water and camera...
Meeting : 8h AM at the Compagnie des Guides office, on day 1.

Itineraries examples :
The programme will be decided everyday depending on the weather and snow conditions.
La Flatière : A spectacular balcony trail with a view on the Mont-Blanc range over the Les Houches village. A 4 hours easy and pleasant hiking in the forest. The best way to begin your snowshoeing week.
Vallorcine : At the very end of Aiguilles Rouges, close to Bérard and Tré les Eaux Vallon you can find a secret paradise for snowshoeing
Le Prarion : A magnificent view on the Mont-Blanc range. Transfer to Les Houches, Prarion cable car (1850 m). Easy climb of the Prarion mountain (1967 m)
Return down in the forest by the La Forclaz pass, and back in Les Houches village.
Mont de l’Arpille (Suisse) : Departure from the close Switzerland to climb the Arpille mountain over Martigny, from which you will discover the Valaisannes Alps, the Oberland and the Mont-Blanc range.
Val Ferret (Italie) : Easy hiking in Italy on the south side of the Mont-Blanc range.
Possible lunch in a typical italian (valdôtain) restaurant.
