Trail Running
Trail running in Chamonix finds its natural playground in the heart of the Mont-Blanc massif between valley trails and high-altitude routes.
The Chamonix Valley offers exceptional diversity for trail running: flowing forest paths, alpine pastures, steep mountain passes and exposed balcony trails overlooking Mont Blanc. Whether you are new to trail running or an experienced mountain runner, the terrain challenges both endurance and technical ability. Guided by our mountain professionals, you receive precise technical feedback, pacing strategies and terrain analysis to improve climbing efficiency, downhill control and altitude adaptation. Each outing is designed as a structured mountain session rather than simply a scenic run.
Beyond half-day and full-day guided trail runs, we also organise multi-day trail running programmes in Chamonix designed to support long-term progression. These formats focus on vertical gain management, downhill technique, mountain navigation and autonomy in alpine terrain. For advanced runners, more demanding routes with sustained elevation gain and technical sections further develop strength and mountain resilience. In Chamonix, trail running is inseparable from the high-mountain environment of the Mont-Blanc massif.
