Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix - Day after day - Ascents and randonnee has been done in October

29 - 30 October : Droites North Face : Colton route. Thanks to a rainy summer and beautiful october our classical routes are in great conditions, especially this route. What a treat to acheive a route just as in olden days : walking all the way from and back to the valley, no guarded huts ... that's the real mountain !
The actual face and the itinerary.	The first big slope is always breathtaking.	First gully and already a strong patch !	A nice belay to enjoy the view !

some hedging mixed climbing.

Photos : Th. Renault 25 October : Rock cimbing at the Dalles du Chapeau. A nice slaby crag. With it's west side exposition and such a beautiful day it offered us a magic moment.
The all secret lies in positionning ...	because using stregth isn't an option !	Just a perfect day.

The sunrise is even more magical in autumn !	Behind the Quille's spur.	Short technical section before reaching the shoulder.	a nice ice slope ...
