Ice Climbing in the Canadian Rockies

An exceptional trip! The Canadian Rockies are one of the magical places on our planet where nature is still “wild” and vast. It’s considered to be THE ice climbing country with thousands of lines each one more beautiful than the last. With such a large choice it’s easy to find the ice fall of the day: from 1 to 10 pitches, beginner climbs to some of the most difficult in the world, and even doing some ‘dry tooling’, there is a lot of everything for everyone! If you love ice, and if the wide open spaces of North America leave you dreaming, then this is the trip for you: 6 days of climbing for 2 people per guide. There is no better place to attempt some of the most famous ice falls on earth: Weeping Wall (the size of a soccer field), Polar circus, …
Place : Canmore (Canadian Rockies)

Length : 8 days

"Philosophy" / Level
: Canada is known as the ice climbing country of the world because of the endless possibilities available, the diversity of the falls and the accessibility for varying ability levels. It is entirely possible to start one’s ice climbing career in Canada but to benefit the most from the trip it is better to have some prior ice climbing experience . We therefore recommend this trip for amateurs who have already climbed a few falls at Level 5.
