SOMMETS DE LEGENDE
The Mont Blanc Massif boasts a remarkable concentration of peaks, which make it unique. These peaks have always fascinated men and women, and have made the reputation of the Chamonix valley and its Compagnie des Guides. The ascent of Mont Blanc is a real challenge and requires good preparation. The Grandes Jorasses rise up in an impressive wall of rock above the Leschaux glacier. Together with the Eiger and the Matterhorn, they form the famous trilogy of mighty Alpine north faces. Their traverse is one of the best mixed routes in the Alpine Arc. The Aiguille Verte and the Drus are emblematic of the Chamonix valley, and have been the scene of a number of seminal ascents in the history of mountaineering.
