Day 1 : We leave Chamonix to take the mythic rack railway red train of Montenvers. The way up through the forest is wonderful. Become familiar with the summits around you, all the way to the ice giant. This is a top spot not only for the tourism history of the Alps, but also for science. This place has amazed and welcomed alpinists from all over the world since always. After a visit and the explication of the panorama, we will discover the sumptuous refuge hotel du Montenvers, which will be our basecamp for the next two days. After lunch, enjoy snowshoeing in a magnificent forest of larches with the Drus on the background. Make your way back to the refuge du Montenvers at the end of the afternoon. Your guide will get back to the valley, while you can enjoy your evening and contemplate the panorama.

Day 2 : At breakfast, meet your high mountain guide, who will arrive with the first train in the morning. Today, he will take you along the longest glacier of France to enjoy glacier hiking. The most reckless can try ice climbing with crampons and ice axe. An exceptional day in a unique setting, which has made the reputation of the Chamonix Valley. Make your way back to Chamonix in the afternoon.

The guide may have to adapt the route to weather conditions and/or to group physical and/or technical ability
