Family Rafting in Chamonix - Ages 10 and Up
When the water level of the Arve River is lower, we offer a family-friendly version of our classic rafting trip, suitable for children aged 10 and above. This adventure is the perfect introduction to white-water rafting and a great way to enjoy a fun outdoor activity with the whole family in the heart of the Chamonix Valley.
Over approximately 45 minutes and more than 6 km, you will travel down the Arve River aboard a raft accompanied by a professional guide. Along the way, enjoy rapids, waves and plenty of splashes while taking in exceptional views of the Mont Blanc massif. This trip allows younger participants to experience the excitement of river rafting in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Supervision
Each raft accommodates 4 to 7 participants and is guided by a professional instructor. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
Guaranteed Departure
Trips are confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants

Children under 13: €45 per person
Ages 13 and up: €55 per person

White Water Base Location
The Compagnie des Guides rafting base is located at:393 Promenade du Fori - 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The base is situated behind the Chamonix swimming pool, close to the tennis courts. A public car park is available approximately 150 metres away on the opposite side of the Arve River, with access via the Promenade des Sonnailles footbridge
Meeting Point
Please arrive at the white water base 10 minutes before the start of the activity
Duration
Approximately 45 minutes on the river. Please allow around 2 hours in total for the activity, including equipment fitting, briefing, transport and the descent
Location
The trip takes place on the Arve River, departing directly from our white water base in Chamonix
Requirements
This activity is suitable for beginners. Participation requirements:
✅ Minimum age: 10 years old
✅ Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
✅ Maximum weight: 120 kg
✅ Ability to swim 25 metres
✅ Ability to float on your back and keep your head above water for 5 seconds
✅ Ability to go under a floating obstacle and jump into the water
