Starting from the Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m), the Vallée Blanche excursion is a unique opportunity to discover the high-mountain environment. Roped to your guide, you will move through the spectacular landscapes of the Mont Blanc massif, surrounded by crevassed glaciers and sharp granite peaks. This immersion in the Vallée Blanche allows you to fully experience this exceptional setting, with the option of lunch at the Cosmiques hut. The Aiguille du Midi cable car provides quick and easy access to the area. The route does not involve any major technical difficulties, but takes place on glacier.
This Vallée Blanche excursion is designed for hikers wishing to discover the high mountains. It does not require any previous mountaineering experience. However, the descent of the Aiguille du Midi ridge is an exposed section, requiring good balance and confidence in a high, airy environment. This trip is offered until early July, as an alternative to the Vallée Blanche traverse, due to the extended closure of the Panoramic Mont-Blanc lift for maintenance.
