Tour du Mont Blanc

The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the most iconic trekking routes in the world. This legendary long-distance hike circles the Mont Blanc massif and offers spectacular views of glaciers, alpine valleys and high mountain summits.

The Tour du Mont Blanc trek crosses three countries — France, Italy and Switzerland — linking the major alpine valleys around the Mont Blanc massif. The route alternates between mountain passes, alpine meadows, forests and traditional villages, with famous crossings such as the Col de la Seigne and the Grand Col Ferret. Usually completed in 6 to 10 days, this classic alpine trek offers continuous views of glaciers and some of the highest peaks in the Alps. Starting from the Chamonix Valley, hikers discover emblematic places such as Argentière, Courmayeur, Champex and Les Contamines while progressing through one of the most remarkable mountain landscapes in Europe.

The Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix offers several guided Tour du Mont Blanc itineraries designed to suit different expectations and levels of comfort: authentic treks, lightweight treks and premium tours. Accompanied by our experienced mountain guides, you discover the landscapes, wildlife, alpine flora and cultural heritage of the valleys crossed during the trek. Nights in mountain huts or comfortable hotels allow full immersion in the alpine environment while maintaining a balanced rhythm between mountain passes, valleys and panoramic trails around the Mont Blanc massif.
