General information

The Vallee Blanche hike is a glacier hike in the heart of the mountains from the Aiguille du Midi (3842m) to the Pointe Helbronner (3462m). At more than 3500m, you will be immersed in the breathtaking atmosphere of the Glacier du Geant’s upper basin. As soon as you reached the Pointe Helbronner, you will be enjoying, on your way back, a breathtaking view of your journey with the Mont Blanc panoramic cable car. You will be able to admire the Combe Maudite’s crevasses and the different summits nearby as the Mont Blanc du Tacul, the Tour Ronde and the Dent du Geant.

The Vallee Blanche hike is for people aiming to discover glaciers environment. It does not require a previous experience in mountaineering but the Aiguille du Midi ridge is an aerial passage requiring a certain ease.
 

Group booking

The group formula associates people who do not necessarily know each other. It is ideal for people looking for group friendliness and attractive prices.

Guiding policy (group booking) : up to 4 people per guide. Minimum 15 years old accompanied by a parent

Departure (group booking) : The departure is guaranteed with a minimum of 3 registered participants

Price 2024 (group booking) : 325€ per person based on a minimum of 3 participants

Private booking

A private booking is the historical relationship that binds a mountain leader to their clients. It allows you to be alone or in your own group with your mountain leader who will meet your specific needs. It is undoubtedly the ideal formula realise your projects because it guarentees you a maximum amount of comfort.

Guiding policy (private booking) : Between 1 - 4 people per guide. Minimum 12 years old

Duration : 4 - 5h of high altitude hiking on a glacier (3600m)

Location : In the Vallee Blanche. Depending on weather conditions, your guide may choose to take the Hellbroner cable car on the go and walking back to the Aiguille du Midi. In this case you will do the route in the other direction
 

Ability level : The Vallee Blanche hike is intended for people who practice regularly a sporting activity. No previous mountaineering experience is required but the Aiguille du Midi ridge is an aerial passage requiring a certain ease.

Formality : Make sure you have valid individual liability insurance for the practice of this activity without any location or altitude restrictions, including assistance, search and rescue, and repatriation

Equipment

We recommend that you take special care in choosing your equipment because it contributes greatly to the success of your trip. As alpine conditions can be highly variable with sudden changes, it can get very cold in altitude, it is preferable to have numerous layers rather than one thick piece of clothing.
