Rock climbing course in Chamonix during the Easter and October half-term holidays

Offered during the Easter and October half-term holidays, this rock climbing course helps children aged 6 to 9 progressively develop their technical skills while gaining independence and confidence. They learn to put on their equipment and tie in correctly, discover belaying techniques and develop their backup belaying skills. As they gradually climb higher, children learn to use their feet and hands effectively. They also develop their communication skills by using the appropriate climbing vocabulary to interact with their partners and learn how to work as a roped team and understand the responsibilities of each climber within it.

The course is led by a state-certified professional, using a teaching approach adapted to young children. Learning is progressive and fun, with a variety of climbing sites offering different rock types and levels of difficulty. Games, zip lines, timed exercises, rappels and swings complement the climbing sessions. To allow them to make real progress towards independence, registration is for all 5 days, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
