General information

Opposite the Mont Blanc Massif, the climbing site of Les Chéserys in the Aiguilles Rouges (1801m) is perfectly adapted to discover multipitch route climbing. The routes are mostly slab climbing, the most famous of them are Voies Rouge, Jaune, Blanche and Un Père Noël pour Lucie. Rock climbing at Les Chéserys is the perfect opportunity to add a new dimension to your climbing experience. You will discover the specific techniques needed to climb multipitch bolted routes such as: double rope use, pitch leading, belaying and abseiling. Only just a stone’s throw away, the Aiguillette d’Argentière is the best spot to take incredible picture. Starting from le Col des Montets, a 45 minute walk is required to get to the climbing site of Les Chéserys, the logical continuation to our climbing schools in the valley. Climbing at Les Chéserys is intended for people who already have climbing experience either from climbing school or indoor climbing. Previous rock climbing experience is required: ability to climb French grade 5a minimum.
