Off-piste and backcountry skiing in Chamonix

Discover the off-piste and backcountry itineraries that have made Chamonix famous around the world. From the Brévent and Grands Montets to the high-mountain terrain accessed from the Aiguille du Midi, the Mont Blanc massif offers an exceptional variety of terrain, from open powder slopes to long glacier descents. Your mountain guide selects the best area according to the snow and weather conditions, your skiing level and your expectations, allowing you to make the most of your day.

Explore the best skiing around the Mont Blanc massif

When conditions are better on the other side of the mountains, your guide may suggest skiing in the Italian Aosta Valley or the Swiss Valais. Whether you are discovering off-piste skiing or looking for more challenging terrain, the day is adapted to your experience and is also an opportunity to improve your technique in different snow conditions. If you would like to venture further away from the lifts, discover our full-day ski touring experience. For even greater flexibility in choosing the terrain and style of skiing, explore Skiing Chamonix Your Way.
