General information

An intense day of skiing in Chamonix

Chamonix, Your Way is our exclusive formula for an intensely immersive experience. Make the most of the Chamonix Valley by linking together iconic descents. This formula is designed for skiers who want to ski the Vallée Blanche twice in the same day, or extend the Vallée Blanche descent with off-piste skiing in one of the valley's ski areas. Chamonix, Your Way guarantees a full day of skiing in the unique atmosphere of the Mont Blanc massif. We recommend this formula for expert skiers looking for a demanding and spectacular day in the mountains.

The Vallée Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi

Aiguille du Midi summit - 3,842 m. Enjoy panoramic views of Mont Blanc, the Grandes Jorasses, the Drus and the Aiguille Verte in a spectacular landscape of glaciers and rocky peaks. The descent on foot along the Aiguille du Midi ridge, equipped with fixed ropes in winter, provides access to the Vallée Blanche: 23 kilometres and 2,000 vertical metres of descent through an exceptional glacial environment. Skiing across slopes and bowls, you make your way between seracs and crevasses.

At the end of the Mer de Glace, there are two options for returning to Chamonix. Usually, the glacier gondola provides access to the Montenvers train back to Chamonix. With excellent snow conditions, it is possible to ski all the way down to the valley via Les Mottets. A walk of approximately 25 minutes and 200 metres of ascent is required to reach the Mottets hut at 1,650 m before continuing on skis.
